Heather Idell is a full-time writer, after a 20 year career in publishing, marketing, and communications. She was educated at the University of Pennsylvania, and also enjoyed a summer abroad at Oxford University studying playwriting, where she wrote a very bad one-act play. Though humor writing is her forte, Ms. Idell has recently co-authored a highly technical book, chronicling the life and career of William R. Jones and his pivotal role in vacuum furnace technology and the heat treating industry. The Golden Nugget: An Entrepreneur Speaks will be available October 2017. As of September 2017, Heather is a proud professional member of PEN Center USA, a branch of PEN International, the world’s leading international literary and human rights organization. The name PEN originally stood for “Poets, Essayists, Novelists” but was later expanded to “Poets, Playwrights, Editors, Essayists, Novelists.” For the history of PEN and for information on what they do, please visit their site at www.pen-international.org.

Heather lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her partner, John, her two children, Oakley and Jamie, and the famed Eastern Red Retriever, Riley.
